General Manager - Hyundai

Job Description
Insight Global is partnering with a growing automotive dealership group in the Los Angeles area to hire a General Manager for a Hyundai dealership in Santa Monica. This individual will oversee a newer location and play a key role in building out the team, increasing market presence, and driving long-term success for the store.
This role requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who is comfortable working in a smaller, fast-paced dealership group environment. The GM will be responsible for leading the sales organization, developing team structure, and creating a strong foundation for sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily dealership operations across sales and team performance
• Build and develop a high-performing sales team, including Sales Managers
• Drive consistent sales growth and increase dealership profitability
• Partner with executive leadership (COO/ownership) on strategy and execution
• Implement structure, processes, and accountability across teams
• Foster a strong, collaborative culture focused on performance and customer service
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements across sales metrics and operations
Engage in hands-on leadership, supporting teams directly on the floor

Required Skills & Experience

Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of automotive dealership leadership experience
• Experience as a General Manager, GSM, or similar leadership role
• Strong background in team building and developing sales organizations
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, smaller group environment
• Strong leadership presence with ability to motivate and scale teams
Experience managing multiple layers of dealership staff (sales managers, reps, etc.)


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Compensation:


$80,000 to $110,000.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
