Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Locums OB Hospitalist in California with in house 24 hour laborist coverage and a manageable average delivery volume. You will cover Labor and Delivery plus ED consults.

Highlights
up to 8 shifts per month, structured as 24 hour in house laborist shifts
Emergency privileges available for providers with a clean background
Average 1 to 3 deliveries per day, occasional higher volume days up to 6
Backup available from the other OB group in town when needed
Practice Setting
Inpatient coverage for Labor and Delivery and ED, including emergent GYN consults
Patient population includes adolescents through adults
Supported by hospital staff, with coordination between OB groups for backup coverage
Coverage need is due to staffing coverage
Schedule
24 hour laborist shifts
In house call coverage, 7a to 7a
Target coverage is 8 shifts per month
Start date target is early November/December 2026
Cases and Procedures
Vaginal deliveries and C sections
D and Cs, ectopic pregnancies
Emergent GYN cases, must be comfortable performing emergency GYN procedures
Coverage includes ED and Labor and Delivery department needs
Requirements
Must be an MD or DO
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
California medical license required, will not wait for license
DEA required
