Fire Installer

Responsibilities This skilled position involves installing, programming, troubleshooting, configuring, commissioning, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control and CCTV Systems as well as other related building system products at customer sites. Responsibilities include panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, resolving low voltage circuit troubles, system testing, reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, supervising installations, completing certifications, and documenting all task‑related activities. Perform installation and programming on integrated security and fire alarm systems. Respond promptly to customer service calls, troubleshoot and repair as needed. Participate in after‑hours service program and communicate with central dispatch. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and product manuals. Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specifications. Complete and submit all required documentation in a timely manner. Required Qualifications 3+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals. Skills with hand tools, test equipment, multimeters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices. High School Diploma or equivalent. Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs, work in unusual positions, climb ladders up to 40 ft, and operate in ducts or crawl spaces. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and possible overnight travel. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with team members. Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learning ability. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a pre‑employment background and drug test. License acceptance for any required National, State, and Local codes. Basic knowledge of electronic and digital test equipment. Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures. Knowledge of DOS and Windows. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a brief time. Preferred Qualifications Two‑year associate degree in Electronics, Network, Computer Science, or a related field. NICET Level II certification or ability to obtain it within the first year. Salary and Benefits Hourly range: $28–$32, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and alignment with market data.
