As a Security Officer Part Time Front Desk in Montrose, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.12 - $23.12 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, screening and/or directing visitors, and supporting authorized access activities for a government location.
• Monitor entrances, reception areas, and visitor activity while maintaining detailed logs, issuing badges or credentials where required, and reporting unusual or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Answer phones, assist employees, guests, and members of the public with questions or directions, and help to support orderly front desk operations throughout the shift.
• Support security-related procedures involving deliveries, appointments, and visitor check-in and/or check-out while following confidentiality and professionalism standards appropriate for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
