ICU Nurse

ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in the Nursing Division with an acute care setting. Shift length is 12 hours with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Requires 2 years of experience, license to submit, and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Nights, every other weekend, and first to float. Cerner is the charting system used. No first-time travelers. Basic EKG interpretation test during orientation. Ratios of 1 to 1 or 1 to 2. Intensivist on the unit from 7a to 5p and on-call after hours. Navy blue scrubs required. 24/7 monitor techs and respiratory therapists on the unit. Types of patients include respiratory failure, sepsis, AMI, ARDS, GI bleed, CABG, TAVR, Impella, vascular surgeries, neuro surgeries, and CVAs. Neuro experience is a plus. Must be willing to float to any MedSurg/Tele units.
