Our dairy is located in beautiful middle Tennessee 50 minutes south of Nashville. Our focus is producing quality milk from strong health cows.
We have a position for an experienced person with a can do attitude that has a great cow eye for early onset of illness.
We are a diversified operation of 1300 cows looking to expand and would like you to join our dairy of skilled team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervision and implementation of herd health protocols
2. Daily hospital and fresh cow treatment and monitoring
3. Medicine use and knowledge of proper withdrawal periods
4. Accurate record keeping using dairy comp 305
5. Daily observation of the milking herd
6. Leading a team of two other quality members.
7. Medicine inventory and ordering.
8. Positive input at dairy team meetings

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications should include a great eye for cattle observation, 3+ years of large herd experience. Hospital pen and treatment experience is necessary for this position.
A positive attitude, a love for animal care and a history of achievement.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Large herd experience of 3+ years with a history of goal achievement.
An associate of a large animal vet practice is positive experience for this job but not required.
Beef feedlot experience is a positive experience for this job but not required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
3+ years on the job experience
Vet Tech degree
Animal Science degree
AA degree
Any of these degrees and experience will qualify you for this position.
