Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location Madison, WI | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Weekends and holidays as applicable to operations
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting, including cardiac, spine, and neuro units
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
Document patient care accurately and efficiently using

Epic EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality inpatient care
Required Qualifications

Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical/Telemetry
Experience working across multiple Med/Surg unit types, including cardiac, spine, and neuro
Epic EMR experience required
Must pass a Telemetry examination prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with 100% identification of lethal rhythms; travelers have up to three attempts under defined criteria)
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
Familiarity with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring in a high-acuity setting
Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced, multi-unit inpatient environments
