About the Role Our client is searching for an experienced and dynamic Dispatch Manager to lead their dispatch operations in East London. This crucial role involves overseeing the coordination of all outgoing shipments and deliveries, ensuring efficient routing, timely departures, and effective communication with drivers and clients. You will be responsible for managing a team of dispatchers, optimizing workflow, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise the daily activities of the dispatch team, ensuring all shipments are coordinated efficiently. Develop and implement effective dispatching strategies to optimize routes, schedules, and resource allocation. Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules, providing guidance and support as needed. Ensure clear and timely communication with drivers, clients, and internal departments regarding shipment status. Maintain accurate dispatch records and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement. Implement and enforce company policies and safety procedures within the dispatch department. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatch or transportation management. Proven experience in managing a team of dispatchers or logistics personnel. Strong knowledge of transportation logistics, routing, and scheduling software. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
