Summer Special Education Educator

Location: Wellesley, MA
Position Type: Full-Time, Summer Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Education Educators to support students with diverse learning needs during a summer educational program. This is an excellent opportunity for licensed educators who are passionate about helping students achieve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success in a structured and supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students receiving special education services and be committed to creating an inclusive, engaging, and positive classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction to students with individualized learning needs.
• Implement and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and classroom accommodations.
• Create engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and participation.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
• Utilize positive behavior management techniques and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and families as appropriate.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license or appropriate educator licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team.

Preferred

• Experience working with students with diverse learning, behavioral, or developmental needs.
• Familiarity with IEP implementation and data collection.
• Experience in public schools, therapeutic schools, or specialized educational settings.
