Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Detroit, MI offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.62 per Mile with 1800 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $50.00 per Stop with 5 Stops per Week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday Friday
• Start Time: 3:00 AM to 8:00 AM

Deliver SOLO To: OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, MN, Upstate NY.

Route: Local Home Daily and Regional with up to 3 nights out per week

Tractor Type: Straight Tanker/Sleeper Cab

Trailer Type: Liquid Tanker Trailer 28' & 48'

Freight: Touch Driver will connect hoses and pressurize trailer w/assistance

Sign on Bonus: Pays you $4000; $2000 at 30 days, $2000 at 90 days

Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Endorsements: Tanker REQUIRED, Hazmat preferred - Ryder will train and help you obtain Hazmat; Must have 6 months to 1 year of Tanker experience.

Must have PASSPORT or ENHANCED DL to possibly enter Canada

FAST Pass preferred

• 80 hours PTO your first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it)

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
