Relieve a Caregiver-Spend time with a Patient

Southerncare Hospice in Uniontown Ohio

Southerncare Hospice cares for patients and families in facilities and also in their homes. The Caregivers for home patients are often spouses or other family members who need a caregiver relieve-for appointments, errands, to go out to lunch, or just some well deserved break or personal time. It's for those times that Southerncare offers volunteers for "caregiver relieve" and a caring volunteer visits the patient to share time while the caregiver is away.

Volunteers provide comfort and also support to the patient as well as the caregive a two for one bonus of gratitude!! Consider spending some time with a patient, giving the caregiver the assurance that his/her loved one is being cared for while she/he enjoys some "whatever" time to refresh, renew and enjoy the day or time being away.
