Senior Engineer - Beaumont

The Senior Engineer serves as a technical leader and escalation point, providing advanced infrastructure support while mentoring junior engineers. This role combines deep technical expertise with project leadership to design, implement, and optimize complex technology solutions across client environments. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues Design and architect enterprise-level solutions Lead technical projects and implementations Develop technical standards and best practices Review and approve technical documentation Mentor and train junior engineers Provide technical guidance to the team Design and implement complex network solutions Architect cloud and hybrid environments Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades Design disaster recovery solutions Develop security architectures Optimize system performance Lead complex client implementations Architect multi-site network solutions Design and implement security solutions Manage enterprise cloud migrations Oversee infrastructure upgrades Guide strategic technology decisions Lead technical project planning Manage project resources and timelines Coordinate with project stakeholders Manage project risks and issues Required Qualifications 5+ years systems engineering experience Advanced Microsoft technologies knowledge Deep networking and security expertise Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Technical Skills Required Advanced Windows Server administration Network security and firewall configuration Automation and scripting Infrastructure monitoring tools Preferred Certifications Microsoft certifications (MCSE/Azure) VMware certifications (VCP) Network certifications (CCNA/CCNP) Security certifications (Security+/CISSP) Project management (PMP/Prince2) Core Competencies Strategic thinking and planning Technical problem solving Project leadership Client relationship management Written and verbal communication Time management Additional Responsibilities Maintain technical documentation Support project implementations Assist with client presentations Consistently demonstrates “Can Do, Will Do!” attitude On-call rotation. Some evening/weekend work at times with no notice. Other duties as assigned Success Metrics Timesheets are accurate and submitted on time Meet SLA requirements for different priority levels Client satisfaction ratings Revenue contribution Travel Travel to customer sites using your own vehicle. No overnight travel. Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some periods of time may be spent in computer room and communications equipment spaces for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials (must be able to climb a step ladder at approximately ten feet in height and to work from a lift up to twenty feet in height).
