As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Tallahassee, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as required; assist with visitor direction, campus information, and adherence to site access procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
