Sr Mgr, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Manager, Site Reliability Engineer provides strategic leadership across multiple SRE teams and their managers, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and functional objectives while remaining accountable for performance and results related to observability, automation, and operational excellence across commerce platforms. Leverages deep expertise in SRE principles to integrate reliability practices across engineering, security, and business functions, driving resilience and innovation. This role sits within theCommerce Site Reliability Engineering organizationin Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. This role will report to the Director of Site Reliability Engineering. Drive Operational Excellence:Oversee design and delivery of highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems across cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-prem environments. ~ Implement advanced telemetry andmonitoringpractices,leveragingAI/ML for predictive insights and proactive reliability improvements. ~ Guide teams in automating infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Harness, GitLab, and Kubernetes. ~ Strategic Planning:Develop and execute departmental plans aligned with functional businessobjectives, ensuring resource optimization and financial integrity. ~ 10+ years of progressive experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields, including 4+ years in leadership roles managing multiple teams. ~ Expertisein cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). ~ Strong background in CI/CD, automation, and modern DevOps practices. ~ Comprehensive understanding of how SRE integrates with software development, security, and business operations. Experience in large-scale enterprise environments and familiarity with FAANG-level engineering standards. ~ Demonstrated success in managing organizational transformation and scaling engineering teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
