Marketing AssistantLocation: Cleveland, OhioPosition Type: Full-Time, Entry LevelWork Schedule: HybridPosition SummaryThe Marketing Assistant supports the firm's marketing and business development efforts across a variety of functions, including social media, event coordination, content development, and administrative support for the summer associate program. This is an entry-level generalist position at an AmLaw 200 firm, ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional. The role offers broad exposure to the full range of marketing and business development activities as the firm continues to grow.Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Digital MarketingSchedule and publish content across the firm's social media platforms, with a focus on LinkedInCreate monthly reports showing our social media activity and interactions with postsDistribute branded email communications, including press releases and client alerts. This also includes disseminating collateral materials to all officesHelp maintain client lists by creating and updating contact lists using ERM software in conjunction with current CRMManage the Marketing projects calendarAssist in the development of graphics for email and social banners, invitations, and other digital assetsMaintain the stock image library; updating it regularly with new images that can be used for items posted to the websiteManage the marketing content on the SharePoint intranet site to ensure it remains currentProactively manage social media and news items to promote full breadth and depth of the firm's culture and capabilities across all offices and practice groups.Assist in the creation of ads and other design pieces.Event CoordinationAssist with planning, organizing, and executing client events, sponsorships, seminars, webinars, conferences, and other logistics as needed.Prepare event materials, including name badges, signage, attendee lists, registration packets, and promotional items as needed.Attend events as needed to assist with setup, registration, guest management, and support post-event follow-up activities, including attendee communications and reportingManage promotional items used for client events; track closet inventory; work with Event Coordinator on new items: mockups, quantity, invoices, delivery to other locationsBusiness Development SupportAssist with the preparation of attorney PowerPoint presentationsIn coordination with the firm's Librarian, compile business intelligence research in preparation for client and prospect meetings, pitches, and other business development initiativesMaintain and update matters and experience in our pitch and proposal platformSummer Associate ProgramProvide administrative support for the summer associate program, including scheduling candidate interviews, social outings, trainings and orientationPost summer associate positions to relevant law school job boards for Cleveland and St. Louis offices.Assist with communications to summer associates and internal participantsHelp maintain program materialsGeneralMonitor shared inboxes and respond proactively to inquiriesProvide general support for the marketing team as the firm continues to growOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field0–2 year of experience in marketing or business development, preferably at a law firm or other professional services firm; internship experience will be consideredProactive, self-starter with strong interpersonal skillsHighly organized and detail-orientedAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelProficiency with social media platforms, particularly LinkedInPreferred ExperienceDesign tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative SuiteWebsite content management systems (CMS)Event coordinationCRM/ERM systems (HubSpot, SigParseror, or similar)Competencies for SuccessService orientation and responsiveness to attorneys and colleagues.Demonstrate sound professional judgment and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of workComfortable operating as a generalist across several specialties rather than owning a single function.Initiative in identifying and improving recurring administrative processes.Collaborative disposition within a small, high-volume department.Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needsCompensationThe target starting compensation range for this position is starting at $45,000 + per year.
