1st Shift - Cable Harness Assembler

Responsibilities Assemble and install electrical components, wiring, and harnesses according to engineering drawings and specifications. Use manual and powered tools to perform delicate tasks such as stripping, crimping, soldering, and connector assembly. Conduct testing such as electrical continuity and HI POT testing on cable harness assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with requirements. Read and interpret engineering documentation, including drawings and wiring diagrams. Inspect, verify, and document each step of the assembly process of components and finished products to ensure quality standards in accordance with engineering specifications. Help improve manufacturing processes by communicating problems or concerns. Confirm all appropriate materials needed to complete a job, according to the Bill of Materials, are with the work order (e.g., wire, hardware, and miscellaneous components) and print labels for each work order. Utilize Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques to drive quality and productivity. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in electrical assembly or related field preferred. 2 years of experience with wire harness assembly, and ability to read wire harness installation drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 desired.
