Nurse Practitioner Nocturnist

UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado is seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join its high-acuity Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team as a full-time Nocturnist, delivering advanced overnight surgical care in one of the Rocky Mountain region's most respected Level II trauma centers.

The Nurse Practitioner will:

• Deliver comprehensive Trauma and Acute Care Surgery services for overnight coverage (7P7A).
• Perform assessments, order/interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans.
• Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients across inpatient settings.
• Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing patient management.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document all care using Epic EMR.
• Ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws and privileging processes.
• Maintain high-quality patient safety and performance standards.
• Participate in UCHealth OAP mentorship, leadership development, and ongoing education.
• Must have specific APP experience with trauma, critical care, and/or surgery.
• Not doing any locums or locum to perm
• Visa sponsorship not available (No J-1 or H-1B visas accepted)
• Not accepting fresh graduates (must have two (2) years of trauma surgery experience or the completion of a surgical fellowship is required).

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual salary ranges from $136,822 to $179,379, based on experience
• Eligible to earn up to $10,000 annually through the Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP)
• Relocation bonus up to $10,000 for eligible candidates

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing[REQUIRED]
• Nurse Practitioner Certification by ANCC or AANPCB [REQUIRED]
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - [REQUIRED] * no exemption, required at presentation
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado [REQUIRED]
• Must be eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status [REQUIRED]
• Clean malpractice/license history - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Must have no sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA [REQUIRED]
• Must hold BLS (note in "Additional Submission Details" field) * no exemptions - [REQUIRED]
• Experience: 2 years of trauma surgery preferred OR completion of surgical fellowship - [REQUIRED]
