Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Location: Marquette, MI
Start Date: 08/05/2026
Duration: Ongoing, 10-14 days per month, with initial orientation on 08/05/2026
Shift: 6am-6pm in the facility, with 6pm-6am on-call, 24 hours a day
Hours/Week: Approximately 40-56 hours
Employment Type: Contract / Temporary (Based on assignment)
License/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology, NRP certification required
Experience: Prior NICU experience preferred, including advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and ventilator management

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
• Conduct assessments and manage cases including respiratory distress, pulmonary hypertension, preterm births, and neonatal sepsis
• Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, paracentesis, and spinal taps
• Support ventilator management using conventional ventilators, oscillators, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including nurses, respiratory therapists, and pediatric specialists
• Participate in patient stabilization, transport coordination, and family communication
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and neonatal care standards

What You Need
Required:

• Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner with Neonatology certification or eligibility
• NRP certification
• Experience with neonatal procedures and ventilator management
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced NICU environment

Preferred:

• Prior work in a Level III NICU or similar high-acuity setting
• Familiarity with electronic health records (Cerner preferred)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts
