Lending Manager

Breakwater Federal Credit Union is looking for a friendly, motivated, dependable individual to oversee all activities associated with its loan production and loan operations. The selected candidate will manage and coordinate the following: loan and credit compliance; loan production, budget and goals; loan product offerings, including development of new offerings; loan marketing; loan documentation and reporting; lender performance analysis and review; quality assurance of core loan data; loan file storage and retention; loan collections and collections activities; lending and credit policies and procedures; ensure quality and lending policies and guidelines are followed; and loan operations policies and procedures. Supervise, coach and mentor loan production and loan operations staff. Provide input and recommendations for lending interest rates and monitor and coordinate the discretionary and mandatory loan interest rate changes. Research and correct any loan issues and resolve member complaints. Review, analyze, and present management and board reporting on all areas of responsibility. Oversee and perform some audits of consumer and mortgage loan files to ensure quality and credit union lending policies are followed. Implementation of procedural improvements to increase efficiency and quality of service to members and co-workers. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of general economic conditions or changing trends that may affect the credit union's lending activities.

This is a full-time 40 hours per week in-office position.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ten plus years of progressive banking experience or a combination of six years of lending experience and a bachelor's degree in a business-related field
• Understanding of credit union philosophy, loan services, policies and procedures
• Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices
• Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards, and required loan documentation
• Demonstrable leadership and coaching skills
• Supervisory experience
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Attentive to detail and observant
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Highly capable of learning new software applications
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
