Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated NICU RN to provide expert neonatal care in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal intensive care and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive neonatal nursing care to critically ill infants in the NICU.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret diagnostic tests, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and modify care plans.
• Educate families on neonatal care, discharge procedures, and ongoing health needs.
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of patient progress and treatments.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, safety standards, and hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA RN license with current Nursys verification.
• Possess at least 2 years of NICU experience in a hospital environment.
• Maintain current certifications including BLS and NRP, with expiring dates documented.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neonatal life support, ventilator management, and IV therapy.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be able to work rotating day shifts (3x12-hour shifts).
