CookValley View Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Cook to join our culinary team. We've recently increased our wages and are excited to welcome new team members. Position Type: Full-Time, working a varying schedule including every other weekend Shift Available: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm & 11:00 am- 7:00 PM (Flex between the shifts) Location: 2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317Cook Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional service to residents by leading and motivating team members to provide fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.Prepare and assist cooking meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. This will also include feature/specials and grill service.Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.Help maintain a clean and sanitary culinary department.Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.Perform additional tasks as required.Cook Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Prior cooking experience in institutional and/or quantity cooking equivalent preferred but not required.
