Senior Telecommunications Superintendent

Essential Responsibilities Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes. Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations. Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project scheduling. Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects. Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of the project. Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations. Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team. Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents. Qualifications 8+ years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent. Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment. Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset. Effective communication and leadership skills. Ability to directly supervise craft employees and sub-contractors. Problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues. Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices. Strong organizational and planning skills. Working Conditions Able to meet the physical requirements involving sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
