Work Arrangement: Part-Time (15-20 hrs per week with potential to go full time), Hybrid, M-F, Contract to Hire
Compensation: $27-30/hr
Location: Jacksonville, FL

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Process client billing, payments, deposits, and expense reimbursements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Manage attorney time entries, billing adjustments, and client invoices.
• Track trust/IOLTA account activity and maintain accurate records in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Coordinate with attorneys, firm leadership, vendors, and outside accountants as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and financial information.

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within a law firm or legal environment.
• Knowledge of legal billing, trust accounting/IOLTA, and general bookkeeping practices.
• Experience with accounting and/or legal billing software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial records.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High level of discretion when handling confidential financial and client information.

Pay Details: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour
