Role Overview: The Speech Therapist evaluates and treats residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities, ensuring compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities Develops and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatments for communication and swallowing issues. Evaluates speech, language, and cognitive skills considering medical, social, and psychological factors. Reviews referrals, physician's orders, and patient records to determine appropriate therapy plans. Performs initial evaluations and documents assessments, including OASIS assessments. Creates and implements personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and caregivers. Conducts rehabilitative therapies to improve communication efficiency, addressing various etiologies. Performs additional duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited speech pathology program. Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the relevant state board or accrediting body.
