Construction Quality Control ManagerThe Korte Company is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality of commercial and DOD/USACE/NAVFAC construction projects. This position offers a great opportunity to join a strong, successful, and highly-respected team.Essential FunctionsRead and interpret contract plans and specifications to determine construction requirements.Document and update field testing logsConduct, attend and document preparatory meetingsCoordinate Three Phase of Control plan – Preparatory, Initial and Final PhasesMaintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progressComplete all reports and records in an accurate and timely mannerMaintain an orderly and clean presence on the jobsiteLead punchlist inspection, documentation, and trade follow-upEnter critical info into USACE RMS/ NAVFAC E-CMS systemNational travel and potential relocation with short-term notice will be required.Minimum QualificationsThe characteristics listed below are representative of those sought to perform this job successfully.Working knowledge of field construction including mass grading, structural concrete, underground utilities, building envelope, and MEP install. Familiarity with SCIF facilities is a bonus.Familiarity with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1Extensive experience in quality control for the overall construction of commercial projectsExperience in the areas of hazard identification and safety complianceStrong work ethic with a passion to fulfill commitmentsRemarkable enthusiasmAbility to coordinate with multiple owner and building user clientsStrong analytical, problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication and conflict management skillsComputer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, and iPad useEducation + Experience5+ years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager or Project Engineer on a similar size and type of construction contractMinimum 2 years of experience as a QC ManagerCurrent certificate of completion of Construction Quality Managers for ContractorsDesign/Build experience is a plusProcore experience is a plusPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
