Regional Human Resources Business PartnerThis position is based in Northern California and will travel to the Northern California portfolio of hotels.Position: Regional Human Resources Business PartnerDepartment: Human ResourcesExemptPosition Reports to: Senior Regional Human Resources Business PartnerOTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Regional Human Resources Business Partner. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available for this position.Pay Range: $110,000 – $140,000 annually (pay will be based on experience and market data of the position), plus discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.What will you be doing most days?Develop, maintain and support a business partnership with the hotel leadership and work teams serving as an advocate, cultural ambassador, subject matter expert, and problem solver on team member issuesCheck in with team members on any issues, work with corporate on leave management, benefit communication, team member training and other initiativesProvide employee relations and engagement support to the region with the focus on achieving best in class workforce for high retention and team member engagementProvide coaching/counseling to hotel leadership on employee issues, documentation, terminations, and navigating through employment lawsAssist the Regional Director of Operations on various leadership and team member support needsDevelop and maintain employee relations tracking, reporting, and people analytics (e.g., turnover, engagement, ER trends) to deliver actionable insights to regional leadershipLead employee relations matters and investigations within Northern California (or other regions as needed), partnering closely with the Director of Human ResourcesConduct exit interviews within the region and provide information to corporate & regional leadershipProvide training on a variety of employment related topics as neededActively and consistently participate in weekly hotel staff meetings, daily line up meetings, departmental meetings, as needed or otherwise requestedSupport hiring managers with recruitment efforts and provide guidance, suggestions, and work on recruitment initiativesAssist with orientation of new hires within the regionWhat are the requirements for this position?You are a skilled relationship builder at all levelsBilingual in Spanish or Cantonese strongly preferredYou have strong working knowledge of regional employment law such as wage & hour, documentation, workers' comp, federal and state LOA, and labor relationsYou bring empathy and a service mindset to help drive engagement and retention effortsYou are extremely comfortable & skilled with coaching and counseling to our Property leaders (Regional Operations Director, GM, AGM and Department Managers)You have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsYou have excellent training skills - expert user in PowerPoint, eLearning/LMS platforms, virtual training tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom), and HR technology including HRIS/ATS and AI-enabled tools, comfortable with leading training or rolling out new initiatives or reinforcing existing ones5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and investigations, ideally in hospitality or multi-unit operationsPrior experience working in a leadership role at a hotel is preferredBachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience; PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferredPhysical Requirements for this PositionYou must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates, with or without reasonable accommodation.Travel RequirementsThis position requires up to 30-40% travel.
