POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Reservations Manager oversees all reservations functions, inventory integrity, reservation communications and booking quality. This role ensures each guest interaction reflects the Elysée New York luxury experience while supporting revenue optimization and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

RESERVATIONS LEADERSHIP

• Manage all reservation activity, inventory controls, booking accuracy and reservation standards

GUEST COMMUNICATION

• Ensure timely, personalized and professional communication before arrival

REVENUE AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

• Partner closely with Revenue Management and Front Office leadership to maximize occupancy and rate performance while protecting the guest experience

LEADERSHIP AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT

• Recruit, train and coach reservations personnel and establish service expectations

QUALITY ASSURANCE AND BRAND STEWARDSHIP

• Audit reservations processes and communications to ensure consistency with Leading Quality Assurance and Forbes-level standards
• Conduct regular service observations, departmental inspections, and audits, and lead corrective action when standards are not met, building a level of consistency guests can trust
• Maintain accurate training and quality-assurance documentation, and support pre-opening, reopening, and repositioning initiatives as required
• Maintain flexibility to support the hotel's needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong leadership presence and a genuine passion for luxury hospitality.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of luxury reservations practices
• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
• Expertise with CRS and PMS platforms
• Attention to detail and guest-centric decision making.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three years of hotel reservations, revenue management, front office or rooms division experience, including at least one year of leadership responsibility
• Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience operating within a Leading Quality Assurance and/or Forbes Five-Star service standards environment is required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Experience opening, reopening, repositioning, or launching a hotel, restaurant, lounge, or new hospitality concept
• Experience preparing teams for Leading Quality Assurance, Forbes, or comparable Five-Star quality assessments, or previous experience with The Leading Hotels of the World or a comparable luxury organization
