Wound Care Nurse

VMP Healthcare and Community Living is looking for a Wound Care Nurse to join our team!

You will provide high quality holistic nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards and health care regulations which govern the practice of professional nursing. Lead or direct licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors or Associate degree in nursing.
• One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Wound/Skin Care Certification is Required.

Job Responsibility Overview:

• Serves as a resource to residents staff physicians and management.
• Provides clinical expertise education consultation leadership and research to the organization.
• Coordinates with the Director of Nursing with the ongoing tracking and trending of wounds and skin issues for quality initiatives completion routine reporting forms and provides recommendations if changes are noted
• Follows the Federal and State regulations and the facility policies and procedures as well as all infection control safety OSHA CDC and privacy/security requirements.
• Assists as requested with any survey/legal or regulatory requests in the wound and skin care area.
• Maintain 12 hours minimum of CEUs.
