The firm offers new construction, tenant improvement, engineering, maintenance, controls, energy, and commissioning services under one roof, so design, engineering, and field crews work side by side. Its portfolio spans commercial offices, healthcare, multi-family, K-12, higher education, and campus facilities. In Central Oregon the firm has a strong book of work under contract, including a high-visibility boutique hotel, a new corporate headquarters for a general contractor, and a fast-track airport facility.About the RoleThis is a high-growth leadership role at the center of the firm's expansion in Central Oregon. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager will lead two new Project Engineers and help build the Central Oregon market, with multiple contracted projects already in place.You'll run commercial mechanical projects in Bend and the surrounding region from planning through close-out, typically $5 million and under, carrying several at once and owning each one end to end. It's a field-first role: you'll often work on-site from a field office or construction trailer at key worksites, alongside the firm's strong, experienced field staff of pipefitters, welders, sheet metal workers, and plumbers, and be the face of the firm to general contractors and owners. As you deliver, the Director focuses on growing the pipeline, so your work directly shapes what the Central Oregon team becomes.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, and manage multiple commercial mechanical construction projects concurrently.Prepare and manage proposals, estimates, cost reports, billings, projections, and change orders.Lead project meetings and keep schedules and budgets on track.Serve as the main point of contact for owners, general contractors, field crews, and subcontractors.Lead, develop, and mentor two new Project Engineers as the Central Oregon team grows.Review drawings and specs; manage submittals, contracts, as-builts, and close-out documentation.Partner with the firm's design, engineering, and field operations teams.Uphold safety, quality, and service standards on every job.Support client relationships and business development in Central Oregon.Qualifications5-10 years of commercial mechanical construction experience, including client management and field management; or 1-2 years as a Project Manager backed by substantial Project Engineer experience.Commercial construction background, with MEP experience emphasizing mechanical systems.Strong command of construction documents, specifications, and contracts.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools.Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills; able to work independently within a small team.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Degree in Construction Management or Engineering welcome but not required; PMP or similar certification a plus.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsField-based role, often working on-site from a field office or construction trailer at key worksites across Central Oregon.Regular driving between project sites in Bend and the surrounding region (car allowance provided).Exposure to typical construction-site conditions; required PPE and site safety practices.Pre-employment drug screen required.Why JoinHigh-growth position: report directly to the Director of Operations and help build the firm's Central Oregon market.Lead your own team from day one, with two new Project Engineers reporting to you.Multiple projects already under contract, including a high-visibility boutique hotel that will be a standout project to lead, so you step into funded, active work instead of chasing backlog.A strong, experienced field staff of pipefitters, welders, sheet metal workers, and plumbers already in place, so delivery is solid and you can focus on managing the work.Right-sized commercial projects ($5M and under) that let you own the full lifecycle on several jobs at once.A pro-employee culture where many people have worked together for more than 25 years, plus a full benefits package (medical, dental, 401(k), paid time off, disability and life insurance, EAP, FSA).Life in Central Oregon: 300+ days of sunshine, Mt.
