The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process. Maintenance & Repair Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in production machinery, control systems, and other electrical equipment. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring optimum machinery uptime. Collaborate with mechanical and instrumentation maintenance teams to synchronize troubleshooting efforts. Safety Ensure all electrical repairs and installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections to detect potential electrical hazards and rectify them immediately. Train other team members on electrical safety procedures and best practices. Continuous Improvement Recommend improvements to existing electrical systems for better efficiency and safety. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the tissue paper industry and leverage them for the company’s betterment. Participate in projects aimed at enhancing machine performance and energy conservation. Documentation & Reporting Document maintenance activities, repairs, and downtime. Monitor the usage and inventory of electrical spare parts and tools. Report findings, challenges, and results to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate in implementing corrective actions. Collaboration Work closely with the production team to minimize unplanned downtimes and enhance machinery efficiency. Qualifications Technical degree or certification in Electrical, Electrical Maintenance, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Industrial, preferably in the tissue paper industry. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, drives, sensors, and control circuits. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Proficient with tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to the role. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. Employees will work a 12‑hour rotating shift. Tissue is a business unit of Domtar.
