The role focuses on delivering outstanding service and value to Members across multiple branch locations, while directly contributing to individual sales targets. The associate alternates between branches based on business needs and must adapt to varied product lines, services, and systems to provide seamless service wherever assigned. Key responsibilities include customer interactions, product sales, and achieving individual and branch goals. Sales experience is mandatory. Essential Functions Customer Interaction & Sales: Performs fundamental customer interactions including Member Services and product sales, meeting individual sales goals. Applies consultative sales techniques to uncover needs, present solutions, and close opportunities. Promotion & Positioning: Promotes AAA products and services to Members to achieve individual and branch goals, reinforcing Membership value regardless of location. Member Needs Anticipation: Anticipates Member needs, recommends relevant solutions, and adapts solutions to each branch environment. May perform all seven foundational skills and growth skills depending on branch needs. Knowledge & Skills Customer Service: Professional, friendly attitude; quick problem‑solving; adaptability across branch teams and Member bases; effective communication; increases Membership value with each interaction. Sales: Strong sales skills with proven ability to meet or exceed goals in prior roles. Active listener, adaptable thinker, and effective communicator. Utilizes product knowledge to identify customer needs, generate new sales, and retain existing business. Demonstrates cross‑functional capability across all foundational and growth skills; flexibility to shift between service and sales roles as required. Technical: Proficient with multiple computer systems and applications; quickly adapts to varying system configurations or processes across branches. Strong knowledge of AAA products, services, and operations; demonstrates fiduciary accountability. Operational Excellence: Implements processes and maintains compliance with standard operating procedures across branches. Engages daily to meet objectives and larger organizational goals. Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma/GED 2–4 years of work experience, with at least 1 year in a sales role (sales experience is required) Backgrounds in insurance, retail, hospitality, service industries, or call centers highly valued Drive for Results – focuses on desired outcomes and takes steps to meet deliverables on time Effective Communication – clearly conveys information and ideas to individuals or groups Teamwork – builds quality relationships with peers, leaders, and internal partners Adaptable, willing to travel, and flexible to cover shifts at multiple locations Valid Driver’s License required; bonding/fingerprinting and P&C licensing may be required depending on branch needs Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated success working toward defined sales standards and goals, consistently meeting or exceeding targets Customer Service experience Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus Working Environment / Minimum Physical Requirements Variety of branch office environments; standing, walking, or sitting at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods Flexible with work shifts; ability to travel between locations regularly, including Saturdays Office job with normal computer work; standing and walking for extended periods required May lift up to 15 pounds; approximately 98% of time spent using a video display terminal Approximately 50–80% of time involves personal computer use Starting rates vary by region (from $23.00 to $26.95 hourly). The role includes a sales incentive plan with commissions.
