Medical Assistant Certified/Registered

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider. The role requires hands‑on patient care, clinic support, and administrative duties. Responsibilities Assist with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by RN or PN. Perform select clinical duties such as patient rooming, basic injections, and vaccine administration. Interview patients, obtain vital signs, and record information on electronic medical record (Epic). Prepare treatment rooms for examination. Perform clerical duties: answer phones, maintain records, schedule appointments, file documents. Manage supplies: order and restock needed items. Maintain a clean and orderly environment. Document encounters, diagnoses, symptoms, follow‑up instructions, and prescriptions as directed. Transcribe patient orders including lab, radiology, and medication orders. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, and perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED, or 10 years of work experience. Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent training. No prior experience required – training will be provided. Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) – Health Care Provider (AHA). Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – NHA, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – AAMA, or Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Allied Health Association, or any other nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification listed in the job posting. Physical Requirements Constant standing and walking; frequent use of hearing, vision, and speech. Frequent lifting and carrying of items 0–25lbs; occasional lifting of 25–50lbs. Frequent reaching, gripping, keyboard use, and data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting; repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Occasional driving allowance. Schedule: Monday – Friday during day shift; no nights, weekends, or holidays.
