We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring a Security Specialist for our Defense and Industrial division. If you are a hardworking person who possesses the skills and ability to perform the job as outlined below, we would love to hear from you!Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, company policies, and client requirements governing pre-employment screening, background investigations, and related communications.Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, if required by the position, contract, or client.Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and appropriate handling of sensitive candidate, employee, client, and company information in accordance with applicable requirements and company policies. Perform security and compliance-related administrative functions, data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping with a high degree of accuracy, discretion, and attention to the sensitive or confidential nature of the information involved.Coordinate Fitness for Duty (FFD), drug and alcohol, medical, background investigation, and other required screening processes, including scheduling appointments, communicating requirements, tracking completion, and confirming receipt of required results and approvals.Serve as a liaison among candidates, employees, screening providers, company representatives, and clients throughout the pre-employment screening and site-access process.Coordinate and obtain required site-access credentials and documentation, including FFD requirements, medical and substance-abuse screenings, background investigations, security documentation, badge applications, and other client-specific access requirements.Collaborate with Security department personnel and other departments to facilitate security credentials, background investigations, required training, FFD screenings, and site-access activities.Monitor background investigation and credentialing processes, communicate status updates to appropriate stakeholders, and promptly identify outstanding requirements or potential issues that could affect employee mobilization or site access.Notify appropriate stakeholders upon issuance of background investigation certificates, credentials, or other required approvals and ensure associated applications, certificates, and supporting documentation are securely maintained.Initiate and manage applicant submissions through applicable pre-employment screening, background investigation, security, and client web portals.Communicate directly with candidates and employees to obtain required documentation, information, authorizations, and supporting records necessary to complete screening, credentialing, and site-access requirements.Review submitted information and documentation for completeness and accuracy, identify discrepancies or deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions as appropriate.Maintain complete, accurate, organized, and auditable departmental records within company electronic filing systems, databases, client systems, and other designated software platforms.Exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information, communicating screening or credentialing matters, and escalating issues requiring management review.Maintain professional and responsive working relationships with candidates, employees, clients, screening providers, and internal stakeholders.Must be able to effectively perform in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment, including responding to changing priorities, urgent or last-minute requirements, and time-sensitive assignments.Must be willing and available to work additional hours or overtime and travel, as business and operational needs require.Perform other duties as assigned in support of company and contractual requirements.Physical Work EnvironmentOffice environment requiring extended periods of computer use, sitting, and in-person and virtual communication.Frequent use of computers, keyboards, and other office equipment.Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time.Occasional standing, walking, or moving throughout the office.May require occasional lifting of office materials up to approximately 10-20 pounds.Noise level is generally quiet to moderate.Equal Employment OpportunityRPG is an equal opportunity employer.
