Better Healthcare Services LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Springfield, VA. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. - Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and outings
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
- Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and encouragement
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related healthcare field preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
