Control Systems Technician

This position will be responsible for supporting & maintaining electrical and control systems throughout the facility. Essential Functions Ensure that all machines' electrical or control components, including safety devices and safety systems, are operational. Provide support, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance for all controls and electrical systems housed in a cooler environment (30 to 34°F). Conduct daily observations and inspections of all systems, and follow up with key personnel to gather observations on each major sub-system. Report to Creekstone Management any system not operating within normal guidelines and receive direction on required next steps to return it to normal operations. Work with Creekstone Management to establish timelines and priorities for any repairs or corrective actions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to learn, understand, troubleshoot, and support advanced control systems, which are highly computer-driven. Ability to maintain and make recommendations to improve automated processes. Ability to work closely with various engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, controls, software) to maintain and troubleshoot the system. Collaborative problem‑solving, strong analytical skills for solving day‑to‑day problems. Work safely at all times per Creekstone Safety Standards and Protocols. Capability to work independently when needed. Excellent and accurate communication with stakeholders. Electrical Systems Overview Electrical systems are composed of several parts: Mechanical system Sensing and actuation devices PLC control systems and PLC software functionality (NOTE: No PLC programming experience is preferred.) Knowledge of Equipment and Systems PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) Photoeyes, sensors, and scanners Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Solenoids, cylinders, and airlines Understanding of how PLCs and computer systems control each major sub‑system and how they are interconnected in the Creekstone Ethernet Network.
