For motivated candidates, this is an exceptional opportunity to advance professionally while making a meaningful impact in healthcare.In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage, forecasting and bidsPresent results to and participate in strategic discussions with clientsProvide strategic guidance to local and regional health plans around evolving impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act and other regulatory and market forcesPerform analysis of healthcare dataWrite reports that explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audienceManage projects through completion within an expected budgetSupervise actuarial students in the completion of technical aspects of actuarial projectsEmployees will be expected to develop the ability to manage client relationships. While not required, employees that learn to successfully generate new business with both new and existing clients are likely to experience the greatest career growth.To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications: Professional QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related fieldFSA designation10+ years of healthcare actuarial experience, including:Three or more years of experience with Medicare Part D, including bid developmentExperience with Medicare AdvantageExperience with commercial programs preferred, but not requiredProven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiencesStrong understanding of the US healthcare systemAdvanced proficiency with ExcelWorking knowledge of SAS, SQL, or RPersonal QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentProven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on client satisfactionEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approachPreferred QualificationsBid CertificationExperience with R and/or PythonExperience with PowerBIIndividual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.LocationThis position is based out of the Milliman office in Seattle, WA. It is preferred that this employee work in-office, but remote candidates anywhere in the US will be considered. This job posting is expected to close on August 10, 2026.CompensationThe overall salary range for this role is $116,900 - $242,650. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. For candidates residing in:Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:$134,435 - $242,650 for experience greater than 10 years.All other states:$116,900 - $211,000 for experience greater than 10 years.Employees are also eligible for a bonus under our standard bonus policy. Paid bonus is dependent on billable hours worked by and work managed by the employee. Actual bonuses vary widely based on desired and completed workload but often exceed 40% of base salary.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, financial security, and well-being.
