This Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) opening is based in Oviedo, FL at a 64-bed acute care hospital serving east Seminole County that provides intensive care, medical cardiology and telemetry, labor and delivery, cardiac catheterization, and 24/7 emergency services.

The role. As a core member of the patient care team, the RRT performs comprehensive respiratory assessments — including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure — and conducts diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy. The therapist administers oxygen delivery, aerosol medication treatments, and chest physiotherapy, and assists with artificial airway placement while initiating, monitoring, and maintaining both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. The role also involves transporting ventilator-dependent patients and responding to emergent situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation events. Therapeutic response is continuously monitored, with direct provider notification and intervention when unintended responses occur.

What we're looking for.

• Associate Degree required
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT does not qualify
• State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner license (RRT/RCP) required
• Minimum 1 year of RRT experience required; labor and delivery or critical care experience strongly preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Schedule. Night shift with rotating weekends.
