Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong vascular and neuro-interventional experience, be comfortable in a high-acuity trauma environment, and possess expertise in advanced IR procedures including stroke intervention, thrombectomy, angiography, embolization, and vascular access procedures.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

✅ Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
✅ Previous travel experience required
✅ Florida Radiologic Technologist License
✅ ARRT (R) Certification
✅ ARRT (VI) Certification
✅ BLS Certification
✅ Community Hospital experience required
✅ Trauma Level I experience required
✅ Cerner charting experience required

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ ARRT Advanced Certification
⭐ Teaching Hospital experience
⭐ Trauma Level II experience
⭐ Lead Tech or Management experience
⭐ Pediatric IR experience

Clinical Experience Required

Vascular & Neuro Interventional Procedures

• Stroke thrombectomy
• Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
• Carotid angiography and stenting
• Peripheral angiograms
• Endovascular interventions
• Dialysis graft interventions
• TIPS procedures
• Upper and lower extremity angiography

Interventional Radiology Procedures

• Angiograms and angioplasty
• Embolization procedures
• Chemoembolization and Y-90 procedures
• Ablations
• Kyphoplasty
• Nephrostomy and nephograms
• Gastrostomy tube placement
• Chest tube placement
• IVC filter placement/removal
• Renal angiography and stenting
• Venous access procedures

Technical Skills

• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Contrast administration
• Scrubbing and sterile field maintenance
• Room circulation
• Vascular closure devices
• EKG lead placement
• Equipment setup and operation
• PACS experience

Facility Highlights

• 4 Interventional Radiology procedure rooms
• 3 Siemens suites and 1 GE Innova IGS suite
• Biplane imaging capabilities
• Daily census of 30–40 patients
• Care across all age groups including pediatric and adult populations

Patient Population

• Neonates
• Infants
• Pediatrics
• Adolescents
• Adults
• Geriatrics

Scheduling & Call Requirements

• Floating required
• Call required based on department needs
• Every other weekend coverage
• Minimum of 2 weekends per month
• Weekend call coverage includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as needed
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted
