Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit specializing in Vascular and Urology patient populations, with overflow from General Surgery, Women's Specialty, and Medicine
• Manage a patient assignment of 5–6 non-monitored Medical Surgical patients with an average length of stay of 1–2 days
• Perform dressing changes and provide care for patients with wound vacs and drains
• Receive and care for patients arriving from PACU, ICU transfers, and the Emergency Department
• Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed based on census demands
• Complete required pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam as part of pre-start requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
• Urology and Vascular nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating to telemetry or step-down units
• Familiarity with post-surgical patient care and PACU-to-floor transitions
• Comfort working with support staff in a team-based care model
