Vehicle Test Technician

Pay: $24–$26/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Type: Contract

We are seeking a Vehicle Test Technician II to support testing and evaluation of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a mechanical, automotive, trucking, or heavy-duty vehicle background .

Responsibilities

• Install and remove components from medium- and heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Assist engineering teams with vehicle testing and evaluations.
• Monitor tests and accurately record observations and issues.
• Operate equipment including truck hoists, trailer jacks, parts washers, power washers, and in-ground scales.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks and measurements using torque wrenches, dial indicators, and hand tools.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1–2 years of automotive, trucking, mechanical, or heavy-duty vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical ability and ability to read blueprints.
• Experience with air brake systems is highly preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to obtain a Class A CDL .
• Willingness to work overtime/weekends and travel up to 20% as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
