Together, we're improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Austin, TX.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)Job Responsibilities:Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groupsCollect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerProcess billing information and collect payments when requiredPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisMaintain patient and specimen information logsProvide superior customer service to all patientsAdministrative and clerical duties as necessaryTravel to various clinic sitesMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)Current or prior LabCorp experienceAdditional Job Standards:Will cover sites in Austin, TX and surrounding areas (75+ miles)Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environmentAble to pass a standardized color blindness testBe 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving recordAccess to reliable transportationFlexibility to work overtime as neededExceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionAt LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. If you like variety, this role is perfect for you!Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursementQUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metricsBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
