Location: Four Oaks, NC 27524 Pay Rate: $17.00/hour Duration: 12+ Months Shift: 1st Shift MondayFriday, 6:00 AM2:00 PM Overtime: Required weekdays and Saturdays OT Hours: 4:00 AM2:00 PM or 5:00 AM3:00 PM

Job Summary

The Distribution Associate (Returns Processor) is responsible for receiving, inspecting, sorting, and processing returned products. The role requires accurate documentation, data entry, product handling, order processing, and compliance with company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, sort, and process returned products.
• Identify damaged, defective, expired, contaminated, or discrepant products.
• Document return reasons, product details, and disposition accurately.
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to process transactions.
• Repackage, relabel, and prepare products for restocking, quarantine, or scrap.
• Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking products, and labeling packages.
• Pick and palletize orders accurately.
• Verify shipment accuracy and complete packaging activities.
• Perform inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
• Scan completed pallets and operate shrink-wrap equipment when required.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP), 5S, Lean, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report damaged products, equipment issues, injuries, hazards, and unsafe conditions.
• Safely operate designated material-handling equipment (MHE).
• Cross-train in other warehouse functions and provide backup support as needed.
• Meet daily productivity, quality, and performance metrics.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma/GED or 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Previous warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Experience operating MHE preferred.
• Ability to obtain an electric pallet jack certification.
• Experience using RF scanners preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, grasp, twist, and perform repetitive hand/wrist movements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; some areas may require lifting over 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate material-handling equipment safely.
• May occasionally be required to climb.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and in areas with temperature variations.
• Normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and sufficient hearing to safely operate MHE.

Work Environment

• Warehouse/distribution environment with moderate to loud noise.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and potentially precarious work areas.
• May occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and temperature excursions.
