Manufacturing Engineer IIIMove Forward with VoltVolt is immediately hiring Manufacturing Engineer in Clifton, NJJob Description:Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers.Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems.Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products.Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.The candidate will perform a variety of engineering work in the development, improvement, and optimization of multiple processes and techniques, including circuit card assembly, standard module assembly, and electro-mechanical final assembly.The work will include improving and optimizing current processes, implementing new tooling, improving existing tooling, and creating robust technical documentation on existing processes and tooling.Essential Functions:Implementing manufacturing standard work and best practices to improve operational metricsTranslate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-productsWork with existing and legacy equipmentControl and improve existing processesPerform failure analysis and risk mitigationComplete technical writing and training related tasksCoordinate with maintenance group for equipment upkeep and trainingThis is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunityThe ideal candidate will have:Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills:Strong problem-solving and data analysis skillsElectrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background preferredExperience with legacy tooling, code, and equipmentRobust project management and technical writing skillsAbility to communicate project status and risks to leadership teamExpertise in making data driven decisions to improve and develop processesExperience using DFM, Six-Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesExperience using DMAIC process and associated tools.Pay Range : $55.00 - $60.00 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
