Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with meticulous attention to accuracy and efficiency as a Senior Tax Accountant. Conduct in-depth tax research to stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations. Communicate directly with clients to gather tax information and address inquiries or concerns. Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities while providing proactive tax planning advice. Resolve tax-related issues that may arise during the preparation process. Collaborate with the tax team to ensure the timely completion of all tax filings and compliance requirements. Participate in professional development programs to enhance tax knowledge and maintain relevance as a Senior Tax Accountant. Requirements of a Senior Tax Accountant Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or Senior Tax Accountant. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax preparation software and the MS Office Suite. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are key to success as a Senior Tax Accountant. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. CPA or EA certification is preferred but not required for the Senior Tax Accountant role.
