Hours of Work : 7p - 7a Days Of Week : Work Shift : Job Description : PRN Tier 1 Requirements - One (1) shift per pay period - One (1) weekend shift per quarter; - Two (2) MHS recognized holidays* per calendar year Your Job: Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Your Job Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. • BSN Strongly Preferred • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification Required • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Preferred upon hire; required within 2 Weeks • Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) Preferred upon hire; required within 6 months • Current additional certifications as required by department • Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas • Work experience: at least 1+ years Labor & Delivery RN experience Your Job Responsibilities: Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process. Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of informational manner. Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility. Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information. Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration. Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development. Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care. Other duties as assigned. Methodist Celina Medical Center is located on a 40+ acre campus just off of Dallas Parkway, and will serve as the community’s first full-service hospital, serving Celina and surrounding communities. The four-story medical center will open with 51 beds, with plans for expansion, and will feature a range of services including cardiology, women’s services, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and more. The campus will also include a 40,000-square-foot medical office building. The $237 million facility will be one of Celina’s largest employers in the fastest growing city in the country.
