HKA is currently hiring - 1st Class Electrician w/4+ yrs exp. – Shipyard Opportunity Location: Mississippi Job Type: Long-Term Shipyard Opportunity Shift: Must be available to work any shift Experience: 4+ years of experience in the commercial, industrial, or marine electrical field. Pay Package Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour Per Diem: $147.00 per day for qualified non-local candidates Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of electrical experience Must be able to pass a background check Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screen Ability to read and interpret marine drawings and/or blueprints using both metric and standard measurements Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions Must be available to work any shift (day shift or night shift as needed) depending on production needs. Job Responsibilities Layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, electronic equipment, and ship power systems Use hand tools, power tools, and various test equipment Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics Perform work safely and efficiently in a shipyard environment Preferred Experience One year of shipboard electrical experience, including sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation, or related systems HKA stresses the importance of working safely in all situations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
