The Medical Receptionist Medical Assistant plays a vital role in managing front-desk operations and providing clinical support for a solo medical practitioner. This position ensures smooth patient flow, accurate record keeping, and efficient communication, contributing to a positive patient experience and effective healthcare delivery.

 

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate calendars
• Perform reception duties including greeting patients and handling inquiries
• Manage and update medical records accurately
• Register patients and verify insurance information
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-ups
• Measure and record vital signs for clinical support
• Assist with medical documentation and clinical tasks as needed
• Coordinate appointment logistics to optimize workflow

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in medical reception or medical assisting
• High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Experience with patient scheduling software
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong data entry skills
• Familiarity with insurance verification processes
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Bilingual abilities
