McMahon is a 40-year-old helicopter charter company specializing in time-critical logistics and aerial imaging.We are looking for a well-rounded pilot that can easily shift gears from one type of operation to the next. We want someone who is energetic, works well with our team and enjoys a fast-paced work environment while on a flight assignment and a relaxed work environment when not on a flight assignment. Our 135 Program operates under VFR, but a Helicopter-Instrument or ATP rating is required for this position.Job Description Duties & Schedule:Line pilots currently work at the hangar on standby to fly five days per week, every week, Monday through Friday. The majority of the flight assignments are non-scheduled, which requires pilots to be flight ready and airborne immediately. This also requires pilots to live reasonably close to work. Most flight assignments require pilots to lift customer equipment and material. Pilots must be capable of lifting 100 lbs. unassisted.If on a flight assignment, pilot hours frequently extend into the evenings (within legal duty time limitations). Pilots are home every night unless weather conditions prevent a safe return trip, or if the pilot is on a customer project requiring overnights (scheduled in advance). Infrequently, pilots may be scheduled for coverage on Saturdays or Sundays and paid an extra overtime daily rate to do so.Current Holiday Schedule:Holidays are off for all employees between Christmas and New Year's Day (10-14 days depending on how it falls in the week). Thanksgiving weekend. Labor Day Weekend. 4th of July (2-4 days depending on how it falls in the week). Memorial Day Weekend. The pilot is responsible for adhering to McMahon Helicopter Services policies and FAA regulations. McMahon is based in Canton, Michigan, which requires pilots to be able to fly safely in single-pilot, day and nighttime conditions in often challenging Great Lakes weather conditions.
