Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician

Position Overview Do you have a passion for cleanliness and attention to detail? Would you like a job where your work makes a real, impactful difference? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a full‑time Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician. You will be part of a team that travels to scheduled locations, restaurants, schools in and around the Asheville, NC area. The team is responsible for degreasing and pressure washing the interior of commercial kitchen exhaust systems (fans, ducts, and hoods). Key Responsibilities The set‑up and take‑down of equipment including hanging plastic sheeting, mixing chemicals, setting up ladders, wet/dry vacuums, pre‑sprayers, garden hoses, and high‑pressure hoses Pre‑scraping buildup from affected areas of kitchen exhaust systems Use of pressure washers to degrease kitchen exhaust system Final clean‑up in kitchens by wiping down the hoods, mopping up the floors, etc. Fill out jobsite paperwork and use the mobile service app to take digital photographs of all work performed Document mechanical deficiencies of customer or company equipment to management Maintain the cleanliness of company tools, equipment, and vehicles each night Independently complete work projects with limited supervision Position includes 2nd/3rd shift work A typical work week is Sunday to Thursday with occasional Fridays Technician Qualifications Have a valid Driver's License Have personal transportation to and from the office Have a driving record that meets insurance requirements Be willing to drive a company truck to job sites (most jobs local; service area includes NC and SC) Have a working cell phone and respond promptly to management calls Pass a pre‑employment drug screening Be dependable; able to arrive on time and follow instructions Be physically fit; able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs at times Have excellent attention to detail and work quickly and efficiently Be able to work flexible hours Complete work projects from start to finish with limited supervision Communicate well with customers and team members Learn new procedures quickly to assist with the cleaning process 2nd Chance Employer Benefits offered to full‑time employees Hiring Bonus paid after 90 days Punctuality Bonus Competitive pay & 2 performance incentive bonuses a year (July/December) Internal growth and promotion opportunities 401(k) Retirement Pension Plan Life Insurance Dental Employee Discount Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Short‑term and Long‑term Disability Free Employee Assistance Program Health Advocate Program Financial Wellness tools by FinFit Team oriented culture Equal Opportunity Employer Our company is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status.
