FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Details Location: Novant Health Matthews Medical Center, 1500 Matthews Township Parkway, Matthews, NC 28105. Schedule: Full time schedule. 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Hours and days may vary, including weekends and holidays. Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour. Preferred requirement: Prior floor technician or janitorial experience. Perks: Medical and dental insurance, 401(k), PTO. Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. Responsibilities Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment. Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor surfaces. Perform proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
